About the Artist

Nief, aka “TatLassNief”, is an Artist, Tattooist and Piercer, currently residing in Sudbury, Suffolk. She has always had a love for more artistic and whimsical size of life, and decided to persue her dream of becoming a tattooist in 2018. She apprenticed under Stuart Williams of “Mr William’s Tattoo Shop” for two years, before graduating in 2020.

Nief has continued working at Mr William’s Tattoo Shop, 33 King Street, Sudbury, Suffolk, CO10 2EQ to date.

She is largely inspired by bold, striking designs, and enjoys finding unique and interesting colour pallets. She has a love for Japanese art, and “sticker like” imagery, which translates into her own artwork.

Nief enjoys tattooing a range of styles, including, but not limited to traditional, ornamental and geometric, and dotwork.

When Nief isn’t tattooing, piercing, creating art, or working at her local Framing shop, you can typically find her engrossed in a book, or knitting, with her trusty Scottish Fold, Dave, close by. She also enjoys being in nature, travelling to new places, and going to live gigs and performances.

With a love for all things music, you’ll often find her singing as she works, or doing the odd live performance with her acoustic guitar- often at “Jason’s Acoustic Events” held monthly at The Brewery Tap.

Nief was born in Norwich, and moved around Norfolk and Essex in her early years, before coming to Sudbury, aged 7.
